I spent this past weekend with my family and we celebrated my awesome dad on Father's Day! I made him a nice home cooked meal, and I also gave him a custom card that I designed online using Cardstore. When Cardstore asked me to review one of their products, I was very excited because I love giving people cards! It's probably because I think cards express emotions in a longer lasting way, and they can also be creative and fun. I designed this card last week, just in time for Father's Day.
I browsed through almost all of the many physical card options that Cardstore offers and I chose the White Border Photo - Vertical template for my dad's card.
The website is really user-friendly - inserting photos and text was pretty simple and quick.
I put a photo of us on the cover and photos on the inside of the card. I wrote a short and sweet message for my dad (reminding him how great he is) and then "signed it" on the bottom. I was happy with the font options for the text and the versatility for the layout of the inside of the card.
After I completed my design, I approved every side of the card. I really liked the magnifying glass tool that zooms in on the text to help you see if you've made an error somewhere.
Once I approved my design, I got the option of shipping the card to myself or shipping it directly to the recipient. This is such a smart feature. Although I chose to ship the card to myself so that I could give my dad his card in person, I know that's not feasible for everyone making a card for someone else. And of course, the digital cards can be sent via email.
Two of my out-of-state friends came over for dinner at our house yesterday and they thought the card I made was so cute! I shared Cardstore with them, and now you're in on this great card source too :)
It sounds like you and your family had a wonderful Father's Day! I love your photos!

This is a great idea, especially because we keep so many of our pictures stored on our computers, why not make them into cards!
