It's been awhile, but I finally got to try a new place for brunch yesterday! My roommate, another friend and I went to Rosebud Restaurant in the Morningside/Virginia-Highlands area for brunch at a new spot. I had heard great things about this restaurant and this area so I'm glad we finally got to check it out on a sunny Saturday. The menu has so many unique items that they are known for, it was hard to choose just one meal to try. We had a great experience, check out some of the items we ordered!
I ordered Fried Cheese Grits and I recommend this as the best appetizer to order! The cheesy inside and the crunchy outside made for the best combination. And, the sauce they give you for dipping reminded me of an apricot spread with chunks of fruit, really tasty!
Alexandria ordered The Egg Roll as a starter, which looked so yummy and she enjoyed it.
Alexandria also ordered this biscuit and shared some with us. We all agreed that it had the perfect texture. Don't you hate when biscuits are too tough or too soggy?
Alexandria and Kayla both ordered The Ultimate (Stuffed) Pancake, a crowd favorite at this place.
It's a giant pancake stuffed with eggs, bacon, and sausage. Yum, yum,
And I ordered this, one of their many delicious sounding meat-less options. Whole Wheat Pancakes with strawberry and basil butter (amazing!!).
Brunching in Atlanta is really popular, so I definitely recommend making reservations for Saturday and Sunday brunch in the city.
