Eating clean for rookies {part 7}

I got back from NYC yesterday and it was an awesome trip! I seriously can't wait to share photos and details from NYC later this week. But a confession, clean eating did not take place while I was on vacay. I didn't feel guilty though because I was walking and sweating more than usual, and I'll be eating clean this week + this weekend.

Check out some meals I had leading up to vacation :)



Mushrooms + onions in olive oil


Cucumber + strawberries...perfect for a snack at work


Salad: cucumbers, spinach, onions, carrots


Veggie noodles + ground chicken + cauliflower + cucumber...one of my favorite lunches!

  1. Cheating on vacations are justifiable...you are allowed to indulge in moderation, right? lol

    My journey is going well. Often, I'll post pics of what I'm eating and preparing on IG. I'm really loving my fruit smoothies. I have a meal plan that's pretty standard, so I try to do different recipes every month. Quinoa has been a good addition for protein.

  6. Thanks for sharing this. I just embarked on the whole 30 plan and need all the inspiration I can get. The whole 30 is little more restrictive than just eating clean (no legumes, pastas or grains etc) but I am hoping that this 30 day LOVE ME-FEST will help me transition into clean eating permanently.
