Eating in ATL {hidden treasures}

Food in Atlanta - Amen! Just a forewarning, this will be the first of many food related posts. I am truly a lover of good food and Atlanta has so much of it to offer! Reason number 3,453 why I love this city. Below you'll find some phenomenal restaurants in Atlanta that you may have never even heard of before. Today is your lucky day. I'm obsessed with the following:

Downstairs of Ormsby's
1. Ormsby's (Howell Mill Rd- It's a little difficult to find, but don't let that discourage you. The food and atmosphere are totally worth it! I went to Ormsby's for the first time about a year ago and was immediately impressed. The service is great, delicious & unique food [like their spicy lamb merguez with tzatziki, cucumber & pickled red onion on grilled pita], and you can play pool or bocce after dinner! Kind of like a mini-Disneyworld for grownups!

Jonathan & Bethany at Murphy's
Murphy's
2. Murphy's (Virginia Avenue NE) - I went to Murphy's for the first time with one of my Tech organizations to celebrate a great year. Never have I ever had such a delicious meal from start to finish! I personally recommend the Yellow Corn Ravioli, Slow Cooked Salmon Steak, Murphy's Burger, Spinach & Sausage Meatloaf, Seasonal Vegetable Medley, Truffle Macaroni & Cheese, and Sweet Potato Hash. Um, yum! They also have a bakery and wine shop. My advisors, Bethany & Jonathan, had been raving about Murphy's and now I know why!

The iPads you order from.
Friends and I at Do at the View
3.  Do at the View Pizza (W. Marietta Street) - My friend Hannah is a hostess/server at Do (pronounced "dough") and is always talking about how cool her job is. I finally got the chance to go on the last day of school with some friends, and it is a one-of-a-kind experience. The restaurant has a cozy but club-like feel with white walls and furniture everywhere. While you eat their delicious pizza, you will enjoy current music videos playing from wall to wall...it feels like you're at a concert. Beyonce was singing to me as I ate my Buffalo Chicken Pizza! It's a great place for a date or for a celebration with friends. Other great perks include ordering your meal on their iPad, valet parking, and they currently have a 50% off deal on Scoutmob!

I'm so hungry now! Which one will you try first? Enjoy! <3
